Eva Green Hiter

Mt. Juliet, TN resident and White County, TN native (formerly of McMinnville)Eva Green Hiter, age 85, was born March 1, 1929 and died August 15, 2014. A homemaker and member of the Center Chapel Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George Dewey and Mary M. McCormack Green. She was married June 16, 1946 to Joseph William "Sugar Bump" Hiter who preceded her in death October 5, 2003. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Johnny Green and Leona Green Smith. Mrs. Hiter is survived by two sons, John (Jan) Hiter and Joseph (Renetta) Hiter; two daughters, Bennie Kay (Chuck) Mitter and Linda Sue Hiter; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and sister, Zada Green (Gordon) Mitchell. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday in High's Chapel with Tim Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet, TN and Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 2:00 pm at High's. The family request memorial contributions be made to Center Chapel Church of Christ building fund, Alive Hospice or the Parkinson's Foundation.
