McMinnville resident and Murfreesboro, TN native LtCol Charles King Bostick, age 83, was born November 21, 1930 and died August 23, 2014 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A supervisor with Century Electric/Magnetek and member of Christ United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Thomas Edwin and Grace Givens Bostick. He was a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard for thirty-six years, founding member of the Warren County Rescue Squad and member of the Silver and Gold Band for over sixty years. Mr. Bostick was married January 8, 1959 to Carolyn Sue Dodson Bostick of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Kym and Rickey Jones and Suzanne Bostick both of McMinnville; grandson, Eric Lynn Jones and fiancee Francisca Saulmon Ramirez of Conway, AR; granddaughter, Stephanie Elizabeth Jones of McMinnville and faithful, loving cat, Little Boy. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Christ United Methodist Church with Chuck Overton officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church, 200 Chapel Dr., McMinnville, TN. A private burial will follow at a later date.
