Jimmy Dee Jones

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Jimmy Dee Jones, age 52, was born November 27, 1961 and died suddenly August 27, 2014. The son of Charles Jones of McMinnville and the late Mildred "Mickey" Jones, he was a self-employed auto mechanic and attended Irving College Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brother, Sutton Jones. He was married December 31, 1994 to Earlene Smartt Jones of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Bethany Aftan and Bryan Beets of Prattville, AL; six grandchildren, Gus Beets, Olivia Hall, Shane Cook, Hallie Cook, Ethan Beets and Maggie Cook; four step-children, Shannon Cook and husband Hal of Cookeville, TN, and Japheth Wilson, Brooke Wanamaker and Ben Wanamaker all of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Wayne Baker of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 1, 2014 in High's Chapel with Jon Kent officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High's.
