Emma Irene Woodlee, age 90, a McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native was born January 29, 1924 and died September 1, 2014 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was a homemaker and devoted member of the Church of Christ and daughter of the late James and Oshia Stoner Woodlee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Hobert Woodlee and two sisters, Margarite Woodlee and Pauline Campbell. She was married June 29, 1946 to Brown Larry Woodlee who survives. Mrs. Woodlee is also survived by children, Dennis Woodlee, Nancy (Gordon) Mayfield, Sandra (Stan) Hillis and Vicky Woodlee all of McMinnville; nine grandchildren, Dachelle (Jeff) McVey, Eric (Dessa) Burch, B.J. (Renee) Burch, Amanda (Tim) Gann, Tabitha (Jason) Rucker, Megan (Sam) Patton, Kim (Justin) Cannon and Aimee (Ronnie) Bielling of McMinnville and Lindsi (Nathaniel) Green of Franklin, TN; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Walter (Cheryl) Woodlee of Indiana; sister, Lena Ferguson of Michigan and special friend, Gladys Morgan of McMinnville. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 in High's Chapel with Steve Hillis and Jeff McVey to officiate. Interment will follow in the Armstrong Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 and 11:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service at High's. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels.
