McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Charlene Campbell Palmer, age 56, was born June 12, 1958 and died September 4, 2014 at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and a member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Annie Louise Brown Campbell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon Gilliam and Alfred Campbell; and nephew, Brent Scott. She was married August 2, 1980 to Eddie Palmer of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Craig Palmer and fiancee, Stephanie Casbon of McMinnville; special son, Mitchell Wiser of McMinnville; special granddaughter, Kaydence of McMinnville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Larry Scott, Marla and Jimmy Scott and Darlene Campbell and Tom Cunningham, all of McMinnville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Kathy Campbell of McMinnville and Preston Campbell of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Janice and David Mayfield of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Donald and Barbara Palmer of Georgetown, TN; special nieces and nephews, Greg and Rodney Gilliam, Lori Foster, Gary Campbell, Kayla Lee, Kati Campbell, Rachel Campbell, Josh and Jake Mayfield, Christ Palmer and Lisa Shadden; great-nieces, Savannah Foster, Keighley Reed, Kellyn Capps, Addyson Palmer, and Molly and Hannah Mayfield; great-nephes, Tyler Brady, Aiden Campbell, Hunter Reed and Ethan Mayfield; and several other great-nieces, great-nephews, and many loving family members and friends. Charlene was a very special person to many and an inspiration to all. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister. Children were her passion. Through her illness, her faith never waivered. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Central Church of Christ with Eddie Reed and Daniel Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday at High's. Carrier Employees will be Honorary Pall Bearers. Memorial donations may be made to Relay For Life, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Kids of the Community.
