Mildred Eloise Grove

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Mildred Eloise Grove, age 97, was born August 28, 1917 and died September 5, 2014 at River Park Hospital following an exteneded illness. A homemaker and a member of Smyrna Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Emmit and Marilda Curtis. She was married June 2, 1935 to Clabe Grove who preceded her in death October 19, 1991. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Lavoy Grove; four sisters, Daphene Coppinger, Mary Betty Christian, Leoma Clendenon and Ollie Mae Walker; and brother, Lawrence Curtis. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Christine Grove Mitchell of Smithville, TN and Gloria and Billy Jones of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sandra Grove of Soddy Daisy, TN; eight grandchildren, Erica Grove, Sidney Grove, Debbie Coleman, Jimmy Mitchell, Sharon Shedd, Kevin Mitchell, Rhonda Pelham and Donna Johnson; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; seven nieces and one nephew. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 in High's Chapel with Jonathan Stubblefield officiating. Burial will follow in Center Hill Cemetery @ Hills Creek. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's. Memorial donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis.
