James Howard Taylor, age 66, a Murfreesboro, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born November 5, 1947 and died September 15, 2014 at the Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN following an extended illness. He was a retired employee of DeZurik Corp., a U.S. Army veteran and son of the late Harry Ed and Henrietta Hancock Taylor. He was married to Lucille Woods Taylor who preceded him in death January 18, 1995. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Henry Hancock and Harry Taylor, Jr.; and three sisters, Pearlie Ellis, Edwina Grayson and Mattie Miller. Mr. Taylor is survived by sisters, Lisa (Leonard) Noon of Tullahoma, TN, and Hattie Lynda (Henry) Wood of Bloomington Springs, TN; special nephew, Lanell Wood of Rio Rancho, NM; and a host of other nephews and nieces. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 in High's Chapel with Michael Harris to officiate. Interment will follow in the Faulkner Cemetery @ Pike Hill with full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be 12(NOON) Saturday until the time of service at High's.
