Willard "Pete" Shockley

Willard Lenoard "Pete" Shockley, age 58, died September 29, 2014 in River Park Hospital following an illness of one and one-half years. He was a farmer and retired employee of Carrier Corporation and son of the late Lenard and Bessie Buckner Shockley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, James Ray and Jessie Clay Shockley, grandparents, George T. Buckner, Laurie Herman (Charlie) and Waymon and Ruthie Shockley. Mr. Shockley is survived by devoted companion, Treva Lawson of McMinnville; daughter Reba Michelle (Trad) Prater of McMinnville; son, Jamie Lynn (Jessica) Shockley; special daughter, Leslie Buchanan; grandchildren, Braden, Logan and Abigail Prater, Piper Rose Shockley, Elie and Araya; brother, Tommy Lynn (Diane) Shockley of Spencer, TN; sisters, Reba A. (Gary) Mooneyham and Laura R. (Harold) Russell of Spencer, Vollie B. (Mackey) Hatch and Margaret A. (Dayton) Brandon of Ringgold, GA; aunts, Edith Shockley Grissom and Gladys Shockley. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2014 in High's Chapel with Jackie Matheny to officiate. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. Sunday until time of service at High's.
