McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Anna Mae Dishman, age 85, was born September 6, 1929 and died October 2, 2014 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. Retired from Genesco and a member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Hosea and Annie Shockley McCormick. She was married August 29, 1948 to Arnold Ray Dishman who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Remus and Amos McCormick; sister, Hozena Copenhaver; daughter, Marsha Sue Dishman; and grandson, Timothy Dale Ferrell. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Cindy Dishman of McMinnville; two daughters and son-in-law, Wanda & John Hale of McMinnville and Kathey Enlow of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Monica Schoeneck and husband Jon, Kara Dishman, and Hailey Taylor and husband Cole; four great-grandchildren, Katie Elizabeth Enlow, Emely June Schoeneck, Brody Viktor Schoeneck, and Leyton Taylor; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brother, Earl H. McCormick of Rock Island, TN; two half-brothers, Sonny McCormick of North Carolina and Billy Dean McCormick of McMinnville; and five half-sisters, Virginia Hendrix of Bowling Green, KY, Lucille Bond of Vancover, WA, and Carolyn Williamson, Sally Jean Curtis and Glenda Rhea Holland all of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2014 in High's Chapel with Bobby Newby and Jerry Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Shockley Cemetery, Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's. Memorials may be made to NHC Nursing Home Christmas.
