Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Kelly Wayne Rowland, age 69, was born March 6, 1945 and died October 13, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired maintenance electrician, a TN National Guard veteran, a member of the Church of Christ, and attended East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late William and Edith Greene Rowland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Olyne Griffith. He was married August 22, 1968 to Pam Griffith Rowland of Rock Island, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and spouses, Crystal and Roger Byars of McMinnville and Monty Rowland and fiancee Amanda Desmarais of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Lexi Rowland, Katelyn Byars, Will Rowland, Wess Rowland, Kassidy Byars and Zoie Conner; brother and sister-in-law, James William and Patsy Rowland of Campaign, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Ann Dickson of McMinnville; father-in-law, Harold Griffith of McMinnville; four nephews and spouses, Kevin and Lisa Rowland of Campaign, TN, Greg and Lori Rowland of Rock Island, TN, Derek and Jeaninne Masters of McMinnville and Dustin Masters of Nashville, TN; and three great-nieces, two great-nephews and one great-great-niece. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 in High's Chapel with Jonathan Stubblefield officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Hwy. 30. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at High's.
