Nancy Rhea Newby

Nancy Rhea Potter Newby passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014. She was born and raised in Tullahoma, TN and lived most of her life in Cookeville, TN. She recently moved to Columbia, TN to live near her daughter. She was a long-time member of Collegeside Church of Christ in Cookeville and worked as a real estate agent for American Way for more than twenty years. She was the daughter of the late Rhea Dibrell and Sara Frances Winton Potter. She was married May 19, 1962 to Jimmy Price Newby who preceded her in death January 29, 1994. She leaves behind her sister, Robbie Harris Stephens (Bob) of Cookeville; daughters, Katie Newby Martin of Columbia and Francie Newby Owens (Robert) of Brentwood, TN and four grandchildlren, Price Martin, Lily Martin, Kate Owens and Ethan Owens. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Collegeside Church of Christ in Cookeville. Graveside service and interment will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in Mt. View Cemetery, McMinnville. Joe Roberts will officiate. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at Collegeside Church of Christ.
