Melvina McCormick

Melvina Delaney McCormick, age 103, a Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died October 27, 2014 at NHC Healthcare, McMinnville following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, member of Friendship The Baptist Church and daughter of the late John and Betty Talley Delaney. She was married to Johnny McCormick who preceded her in death in 1982. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Alvin, Malcomb, and Johnny McCormick Jr. and daughter, Helen Cooper. Mrs. McCormick is survived by seven sons, Harry (Sally) McCormick and Billy (Lana) McCormick of Indianapolis, IN, Franklin (Carol) McCormick, Norman (Doris) McCormick, Noland (Joan) McCormick, and Jimmy (Debbie) McCormick of Campaign, TN and Eddie (Susan) McCormick of Bone Cave, TN; three daughters, Louise (Lloyd) Roberts of Indianapolis, Shirley (Greg) Elmore of South Carolina and Carolyn (Dave) Rodocor of Arizona; fifty-six grandchildren and 156 great-grandchildren along with special friends, The Aho family and The Lee family. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 in High's Chapel with Steve Breedlove to officiate. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 and Thursday at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High's.
