McMinnville, TN resident and Rapid City, SD native, Ralph Eugene Goff, age 78, was born October 7, 1936 and died November 4, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Goff was a retired construction foreman with Baltimore Gas & Electric in Baltimore, MD. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was the son of the late Clarence G. and Whipka Stratemeyer Goff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, William Eugene Goff; brother, Clarence Earl Goff; and sister, Florence Marie Collins. He was married to Evelyn Booth Goff of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and spouses, Judy and Steve Overin of Florida, Karen and James Butrick of Florida and Joan A. Ferguson of Georgia; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Goff of South Dakota; one sister, Arlene June Manley of Washington; nephew, Arlin Steffanson of Portland, TN; and several other nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service and interment will be held at 12:30 p.m. (EST) Friday, November 7, 2014 in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Chaplain Lester Norton officiating. Military Grave Rites will be conducted. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m until 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at High's.
