Melba Elizabeth Greene Griffith

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Melba Elizabeth Greene Griffith, age 78, was born October 2, 1936 and died November 7, 2014 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness. A retired Insurance Agent and a member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George Clifford and Rachel Neal Greene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Alton and Louise Greene; brother, Kenny Greene; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Marion Pistole; brothers-in-law, Rayford Davis, Jack Pirtle, Mike Worzek, Jack Griffith and Dewey Gay; sisters-in-law, Daphne Greene and Jo Duncan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, J.D. and Lerline McGinness. She was married January 19, 1958 to Jimmy E. Griffith of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children and spouses, Lisa and Randy Garrison of McMinnville and Beth and Steve Johnson of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Ross Garrison and wife Lacy of Cookeville, Taylor Elizabeth Johnson of McMinnville and Reed Tucker Garrison of McMinnville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny Greene, G.B. and Suzi Greene and Fred and Faye Greene all of McMinnville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hannah Davis, Joyce Pirtle, Linda and Jerry Davenport and Kaye Worzek all of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Dean Gay of Las Vegas, NV and Eileen Griffith of Chattanooga, TN. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at Central Church of Christ with Kirk Brothers, Ben Bailey and Ross Garrison officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Monday at High's.
