Robert Harry "Bob" Wood

McMinnville, TN resident and Cincinnati, OH native Robert Harry "Bob" Wood, age 72, was born July 8, 1942 and died November 6, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired mechanic, a United States Air Force veteran of Vietnam and a member of Brethren in Christ Church, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Laverne H. Bullock Wood. He is survived by sister, Judy Alvis of Cincinnati, OH; nephew, Andrew Alvis of Los Angeles, CA; niece, Robin Hill of Bethel, OH; great-niece, Bailey Hill of Cincinnati, OH; great-nephew, Cooper Hill of Cincinnati, OH; and step-daughter, Lisa Simmons of McMinnville. A graveside service and interment will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Mt. View Cemetery with Tony Smedley officiating. Full military honors will be administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday at High's.
