James Glenn Grissom

James Glenn Grissom, age 78, a Rock Island, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native died November 13, 2014 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness. He was a retired employee of Powermatic and son of the late Ambros and Minnie Jennings Grissom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Wayne Grissom and four brothers, Ed, Tom, Lowell and E.J. Grissom. Mr. Grissom was married February 21, 1989 to Norma Sue Hillis Grissom who survives. He is also survived by three children, Glenda Cox of Rock Island, TN, Randy Grissom and Kendra (Mitch) Bass of McMinnville; step-son, Joe Cummings of Rock Island; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Boles of Doyle, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 in High's Chapel. Interment will follow in the Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, until time of service at High's.
