Gayewon Dural Vance

Doyle, TN resident and White County, TN native Gayewon Dural Vance, age 70, was born February 14, 1944 and died December 23, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a short illness. Retired as a Produce Manager from Kroger in Sparta, TN, a United States Army veteran, and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Carl and Willene Measles Vance. He was married July 6, 1968 to Barbara Slatton Vance of Doyle, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gayle Wayne and Wanda Vance of Doyle, TN, Bill Vance of Spencer, TN, and Howard Lee and Sandra Vance of Doyle, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Annette Slatton of Doyle, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2014 in McElroy Cemetery, Van Buren County, TN with Gene Brock and Earl Bass officiating. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery. There will be no visitation at High's.
