McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Dorothy Evelyn Chambers Norrod, age 83, was born January 1, 1932 and died January 4, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following a sudden illness. Co-owner and Business Manager of Norrod Garage and member of East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late J.A. and Sarah Elizabeth Bell Chambers. She was married January 14, 1950 to Wilburn Lindon Norrod who preceded her in death September 23, 2008. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by step-mother, Flora Chambers; sister, Sarah Capshaw; and three brothers, Harry, Nelson and J.L. Chambers. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Carolyn Norrod of Mt. Juliet, TN and Bradley Steven Norrod and Mary Pendergraph of McMinnville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ina Catherine and Ed Hennessee of Murfreesboro, TN and Virginia "Jenny" and John Endicott of Marietta, GA; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Myron and Judy Chambers of Franklin, TN and Byron and Carol Chambers of McMinnville; and sister-in-law, Nora Bell Chambers of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in High's Chapel with Kevin Key and Doris Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at High's.
