Ray Brymer, Jr.

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Ray Brymer, Jr., age 69, was born August 9, 1945 and died January 10, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN following a sudden illness. A retired Guidance Counselor with Taft Youth Center and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late William Ray and Maggie Lene Brymer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alene Brymer. Mr. Brymer was married to Linda Brymer of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Phillip Ray (Juanita) Brymer of Barrow, AK; two granddaughters, Megan Lynnae Brymer and Kristen Annette Brymer both of Spencer, TN; step-son, Nathan (Candice) Jones of McMinnville; three step-grandchildren; two brothers, Jay (Ann) Brymer of Rock Island, TN and Charles Brymer of Crossville, TN; sister, Mary Virginia (Neal) O'Neal of Spencer, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in High's Chapel with Tim Judd officiating. Burial will follow in the Cummingsville Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at High's.
