Audrey S. Carothers

Gallatin, TN resident (formerly of McMinnville) and Warren County, TN native Audrey S. Carothers, age 91, was born January 1, 1924 and died February 11, 2015 in Gallatin Health Care Center in Gallatin, TN following an extended illness. Retired from Middle Tennessee Natural Gas Company and a member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Alva N. and Wava Webb Sanders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye Clendenon and Doris Perkins; and brother, Ralph Sanders. She is survived by son, Michael S. Carothers of Atlanta, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Mark McKee, III of Castalian Springs, TN; three grandsons, Cody McKee of Alexandria, VA, Cade McKee and wife CarlaLee of Madison, AL and Luke McKee of Castalian Springs, TN; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sandra Griffith of McMinnville, Edla Davis of Birmingham, AL and Patricia Maloney of Connecticut; and two brothers, Larry "Bud" Sanders of Birmingham, AL and Russell Sanders of Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015 in High's Chapel with Mark McKee, III officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's.
