Mrs. Frances Johns was born to the late Arle and Cary Ball Price in Englewood, TN. She is survived by her husband, Randy Johns and son, Dale Johns both of Spencer, TN; sisters, Irene Coburn of Murfreesboro, TN, Betty Faye Wampler of MO, Reba McGinnis of Knoxville, TN and Ouida Middleton of Englewood, TN; brothers, "Buddy" Price of Cleveland, TN and Billy Ray Price of Athens, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was a member of the West Sparta Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Johna Johns; sisters, Christen Wilson and Delores Masengil and brothers, J.B. Price and Hugh Price. Mrs. Johns was a retired Registered Dietitian. Her career covered working for the Veterans Administration in Murfreesboro, TN to consulting for hospitals in Davidson, DeKalb, Grundy and Warren Counties. The last twenty-seven years prior to retirement were spent as the Head Dietitian for River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN. Mrs. Johns was a long-time resident of the Cummingsville Community in Van Buren County, TN. Services will be held by High Funeral Home in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2015 and from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday March 2 at High's. The services will be held on Monday at 6:00 p.m. in High's Chapel. Officiating will be Derrick Coble, minister of the West Sparta Church of Christ and nephew, William Price McGinnis, minister of education at Ridgedale Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna, TN. Officiating will be Kevin Campbell of the West High Street Church of Christ in Woodbury, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Johna A. Johns Memorial Scholorship Fund at Tennessee Tech University in care of C.
