Donna Elizabeth Abercrombie Rutherford

McMinnville, TN resident and Chattanooga, TN native Donna Elizabeth Abercrombie Rutherford, age 56, was born September 26, 1958 and died March 17, 2015 at her residence following a four-year illness. A medical transcriptionist and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of Carolyn Roberson Abercrombie of McMinnville and the late Richard Abercrombie. She was married May 16, 1981 to David Rutherford of McMinnville. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by step-daughter, Stephanie (Damian) Fahy of La Vergne, TN; three grandchildren, Caitlin, Lachlan and Annalise Fahy; brother, Clayton (Angie) Abercrombie of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Debbie Parker of Birmingham, AL; two nieces, Katy (Nick) Saynes and Vickie Abercrombie (Matt Knox) of Chattanooga, TN; and two great-nieces, Lily and Makayla Saynes. She considered herself a professional volunteer, working with the school system library, church and animal rescue agencies. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue or Sarah Cannon Breast Cancer Research. A private service will be held at a later date.
