Madison, AL resident and Warren County, TN native Betty Jo Blankenship, age 85, was born March 18, 1930 and died April 1, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL following a brief illness. A business school teacher with the Warren County School System, an avid antique dealer in Madison, AL and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Grace Ethridge Blankenship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Monty, William and Dick Blankenship; sister, Dorothy "Dot" Tarr; and nephew, Bobby Tarr. She is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Bob Higgenbotham of Madison, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Louise Blankenship of McMinnville; and nieces, nephews and their spouses, Kathy and Ronnie Farris, Bill and Wilma Blankenship, Pete and Mary Ann Blankenship, Rebecca and Freddie Duncan, Robin Higgenbotham, Jay Higgenbotham, Scotty and Teri Lynn Higgenbotham, Shawn and Teri Higgenbotham, Pat Neal, Alice Pendergraph, Vickie and Mack Sparkman, Mary and Steve Payne, Jamye and Monty Jaco, Jimmy and Amy Blankenship, Katie and Barry Wilson, and Jon and Candy Blankenship. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 in High's Chapel with Jimmy Haley officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's.
