Betty Lou Myers

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Betty Lou Myers, age 80, was born September 19, 1934 and died April 6, 2015 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness. A retired employee from Powermatic and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Maggie Mae Basham Cox. She was married to Dillard Myers who preceded her in death in 1966. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe T. Cox, Allen Cox and Lloyd Cox. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dillard "Clayton" and Beverly Kay Myers of McMinnville; two granddaughters and their spouses, Kim and Jason Hollandsworth of McMinnville and Becky and Paul Byars of McMinnville; five great-grandchildren, Kali and Alex Hollandsworth, and Victoria, Carly and Paul David Byars; five brothers and sisters-in-law, S.P. and Elsie Cox, Donald R. Cox, Rickey and Mary Anne Cox, Wayne Cox and Paul Cox all of McMinnville; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Jane and Ronnie George, Lucille and E.L. Bunch, Charlotte and Rickey Fitts, Mary Bunch and Edna Hayes all of McMinnville, and Lena Sue and Herbert Perryman of Shelbyville, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Coy Hathcock officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends are to meet at the cemetery.
