Raymond Earl McCormick

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Raymond Earl McCormick, age 81, was born July 13, 1933 and died April 7, 2015 at his residence following a five-year illness. A retired logger and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Jim and Minnie Sanders McCormick. He was married to Tressie Myers McCormick who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Waymon Earl and Larry David McCormick; brother, Ernest "Bud" McCormick; and three sisters, Jessie Turner, Lilly Mae Pack and Velma Pack. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Randall Lee Van Hooser of Altamont, TN; three grandchildren and spouses, Jovonna and Mark Tate of Winchester, TN, Tara and Shawn Prater of Altamont, TN and Tressie Jo Van Hooser of Altamont, TN; six great-grandchildren, Draven and Jerion Tate, and Kyler, Trace, Kade and Leara Prater; companion, Nancy Northcutt and family; brother, Howard McCormick of McMinnville; three sisters, Dorothy Rogers of Michigan, Lorene Newby of McMinnville and Mildred Warren of McMinnville; and caregiver, Brenda Myers. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 in High's Chapel with Ricky Basham and Dal Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Coffee County, TN. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at High's.
