Carl Edward Nash, Sr.

Morrison, TN resident and White County, TN native Carl Edward Nash, Sr., age 86, was born August 4, 1928 and died April 15, 2015 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. Retired from Powermatic, a United States Marine Corps veteran of Korea, and a member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, he was the son of the late Ethel and Lillian Ann Roberts. He was married to Edwina Judkins Nash who preceded him in death on February 20, 2008. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Charly Roberts; and son-in-law, Don Burks. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Diane Nash, Jr. of McMinnville; two daughters, Barbara Burks of Wartrace, TN and Shirley Johnson of Shelbyville, TN; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 in High's Chapel with Marcus Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery with full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's.
