Stephen Douglas Turner

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Stephen Douglas Turner, age 64, was born November 15, 1950 and died April 16, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness. The owner and mechanic at Shade Tree Repair, a United States Army veteran of Vietnam, and a member of the New Bybee Methodist Church, he was the son of the late B.K. Turner and Dorothy Turner Gillette. He was married July 12, 1969 to Linda Harris Turner who preceded him in death on May 24, 2007. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by father-in-law, Bobby Harris. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Bob Black of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Autumn Turner of Rock Island, TN; grandchild, Tony Curtis of McMinnville; half-sister, Gena Gillette Tilton of Bell Buckle, TN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lorie and Tim Woodlee of Spencer, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenny and Teresa Harris of Viola, TN; mother-in-law, Fay Harris of Viola, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in High's Parlor. There will be no service.
