Selma Jean Brooks

Selma Jean Brooks, age 69, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died April 30, 2015 at her residence following a lingering illness. She was a retired manager for Dairy Queen, member of the New Hope Full Gospel Church and daughter of the late Claude Alexander and Ocie Adell Hickey. She was married to Douglas E. Brooks, Sr. who preceded her in death May 19, 2009. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Betty Talbert. Mrs. Brooks is survived by son, David Lynn (Mitzi) Hickey, Sr. of McMinnville; grandson and granddaughter, David Lynn Hickey, Jr. and Kayla Brook Hickey of McMinnville; nieces, nephews, cousins and caretaker, April Michelle Stembridge of McMinnville. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2015 in High's Chapel with Carl Crowe to officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High's.
