James Dorman Rogers, age 80, a Woodbury, TN resident and Warren County native was born December 13, 1934 and died May 11, 2015 at Woodbury Health Care Center in Woodbury, TN following an extended illness. A retired certified welder at DeZurik Corporation and member of Elkins Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Rufus and Louise Watley Rogers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Kenneth Rogers and four sisters, Sylvia Parker, Jean Pirtle, Sue Slatton and Joyce Northcutt. Mr. Rogers was married to Marie Emberton Rogers of Woodbury, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two step-children, Teresa Diane Higgins and Jr. Davis both of Woodbury, TN; four step-grandchildren, Miranda Johnson, Josh Davis, Kelli Davis and Ethan Curtis; step-great-grandson, Michael Austin Johnson; brothers-in-law, Johnny Parker of Smartt, TN and William Northcutt of Morrison, TN Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in High's Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's.
