Ronald Huston Maynard

December 29, 1937 — May 10, 2015

Ronald Huston Maynard, age 77, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died May 10, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital following an extended illness. He was a specialized systems technician with Ben Lomand Telephone for forty-nine years. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Hawaii and Thailand. He was a devoted Christian and deacon of the Arlington Church of Christ for over forty years. Ronald loved his family and church family and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He was preceded in death by parents, Huston and Dollie Patterson Maynard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Jean Clendenon; brothers-in-law, James Jones, Albert Martin and Joe Ross Clendenon. Mr. Maynard was married September 24, 1959 to his beloved wife Janice Williamson Maynard who survives. He is also survived by loving daughters and sons-in-law, Angie & Dwayne Woods and Latisha & Bobby Cox of McMinnville; precious grandchildren, Victoria & Wesley Minton, Grayson Woods, Lindsey Cox and Savannah Cox of McMinnville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Melba Jones, Donna Martin, June & Jerry Roberts and Gail & Tommy Crouch of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Joe & Becky Maynard of McMinnville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jay & Judy Williamson of McMinnville; aunts, Margie Maynard and Mary Jean Cantrell of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be 12 (Noon) Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in High's Chapel with Jon Simmons, Dwayne Woods and Bobby Cox to officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 and 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at High's. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, Ronald McDonald House or Caris Hospice.
