Jake Solomon

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Jake Solomon, age 82, was born September 2, 1932 and died May 13, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville. Retired from Harold Laws Construction Company and a United States Army veteran of Korea, he was the son of the late Sherman and Sadie Starkey Solomon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Katherine Solomon and Joelene Solomon; and three brothers, Elzie B. Solomon, Roy Solomon and Troy Solomon. He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sherman and Dorothy Solomon, and Harold and Magnolia Solomon all of McMinnville, TN; three sisters-in-law, Rosie Solomon of Murfreesboro, TN, Joyce Solomon of McMinnville, TN and Shirley Solomon of Manchester, TN; seven nieces, Fay Bowers of Murfreesboro, TN, Trina Gill of Shelbyville, TN, and Annette McReynolds, Sylvia Solomon, Vivian Solomon, Melissa Solomon and Teresa Martin all of McMinnville, TN; six nephews, Kenny Solomon and Joe Solomon both of McMinnville, TN, Eric Solomon and Rickey Solomon both of Nashville, TN, Randy Solomon of Macon, GA, and Harold Alexander Solomon of Memphis, TN; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015 in High's Chapel with Bro. George King officiating. Burial will follow in Old Philadelphia Cemetery @ Vervilla with full military honors conducted by the TN Army National Guard Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's.
