Luther Davis West

Luther Davis West, age 86, a McMinnville, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native died May 17, 2015 at the Webb House Retirement Center following an extended illness. He was the owner of H & W Tom's Distributors, member of the Oasis Church and son of the late Hester Lee and Daisy Cantrell West. He was married January 29, 1949 to Betty Sue Warren West who preceded him in death October 13, 2014. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother, I.D. West and sisters Mary Curtis, Willie Mae Cates and Virginia Beckwith. Mr. West is survived by children, Steve (Sharon) West, Becky Williams and Mark West all of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Brandon (Mandy) Harris, Chad West & Melissa Pleasant and Mica Bouldin & Jared Winfrey of McMinnville; four great-grandchildren, Austin Harris, Savannah West, Gage Harris and Tyson Winfrey; sister, Helen Martin of McMinnville and brother, Tom West of Huntsville, AL. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral service will be 12:00 (Noon) Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in High's Chapel with Steve Breedlove officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 and Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High's. Memorials may be made to F.C. Boyd Christian School.
