George Louis Paquette

January 26, 1941 — May 17, 2015

George Louis Paquette, age 74, a McMinnville, TN resident and Chicago, IL native died May 17, 2015 following a one year illness. He was a retired plant manager of Powermatic Foundry for several years and son of the late George Antoine and Lois Powell Paquette. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Paul Paquette and brother-in-law, Arlen D. McCormack. Mr. Paquette was a 1956 graduate of Alleman High School in Moline, IL and was inducted into the Alleman High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. He was an avid Notre Dame and Titans fan, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, and member of the Catholic Church. Mr. Paquette was married December 15, 1990 to Patricia "Patsy" Gail McCormack Paquette who survives. He is also survived by daughters, Sheri Young Crain and Paige Paquette Baxter; sons, Tim McCormick and Mark Paquette; grandchildren, Jensen Cora Crain, Allison Fate Crain and Britten Dae Crain; two sisters, Aggie Jones of Des Moines, IA and Luanne Duckett of Colona, IL; sisters-in-law, JoAnn (Houston) Page, Sue (Leroy) Simerly, Carline (Charlie) Butts and Delores McCormick; brothers-in-law, William (Betty) McCormack, Garnette J. McCormack and Humphrey D. McCormack. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015 at High Funeral Home with service at 4:30 p.m. Todd Herzog will officiate. Internment will be at a later date in the Smyrna Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the McMinnville Lions Club or the McMinnville Senior Center.
