Kenneth Eugene "Pops" Moore

February 26, 1950 — May 26, 2015

Kenneth Eugene "Pops" Moore, age 65 of Morrison, after an extended illness and surrounded by all those he loved, passed on May 26, 2015. Born February 26, 1950 to the late Willie and Nan Moore in Nashville, TN, Kenneth was the youngest son of a large family, including brother, Paul Moore and sisters, Peggy Kilgore and Dale Burns. At the age of 19, Kenneth was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the Signal Corps, and was honorably discharged. Kenneth spent his following years working in automotive manufacturing as a production superintendent for Camden Castings, Powermatic and Yorozu, making many cherished friends along the way. In recent years, Kenneth gave his life to the Lord, becoming a member of First Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith, embracing all of the members as family. In addition to his brother and two sisters, Kenneth is survived by his wife, Judy of Morrison; son, Nathan of Campaign; daughter, Terra of Knoxville; as well as a very large extended family. Kenneth loved his family, his friends, his church, his country, and plain M&M's. Visitation will be held at High Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to accompany Kenneth and attend Sunday morning services at First Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith, 1465 Shelbyville Road, at 10:00 a.m. on May 31, 2015. Military Rites will be administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173 at 2:00 p.m. at the church. As his wishes were to be cremated, there will be no graveside service to follow. In lieu of flowers, Kenneth asked that donations be made to The Fisher House, 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, benefiting veterans and their families, or donations to his church.
