Nashville, TN resident and White County, TN native Artie B. Rowland Napier, age 92, was born September 21, 1922 and died May 31, 2015 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired office secretary with May Hosiery Mill in Nashville, TN and a member of Rock of Ages Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Burr and Olga Cantrell Rowland. She was married to Woodrow Wilson Napier who preceded her in death June 20, 1998. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Joe Thomas Rowland; and sister, Maggie Lou Rowland Peters. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Lee and Julie Napier of Goodlettsville, TN; three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Napier Elkins and James of McMinnville, Wanda Cook of Madison, TN and Caroline Napier Smith and Dennis of Madison, TN; six grandchildren, Crystal Napier, Elizabeth and Matt Powers, Michael Cooke, and Christina and Brian Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Austin Powers. A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, White County, TN with family members to officiate. There will be no visitation at High's. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery.
