Wayne Price Kell

Wayne Price Kell, age 77, a McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native died June 6, 2015 at his residence following a six-month illness due to a brain tumor. He was a retired employee of Powermatic and Oster Corporation, a United States Navy veteran, a member of the Cumberland Mountain Rifles Camp No. 386 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the son of the late John and Tera Johnson Kell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Brown and Billy Kell. He was married April 1, 1961 to Reda Mae Hickman Kell who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and spouses, Sonia and Rickey Wilson of McMinnville, Tommy and Glenda Kell of Rock Island, TN and Judy and Chris Alexander of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Jeremiah Buckner, Kayla (Flint) Higgins, Traci (Cain) Martin, Taylor Kell, Ryan and Sean Alexander; four great-grandchildren, Phillip Miller, Wesley and Colton Higgins, and Aloura Buckner; brother, L.C. Kell of Van Buren County, TN; sister-in-Law, Grace Kell of McMinnville; nieces, Joann Kell of Van Buren County, TN and Melissa Darnbush of McMinnville; nephew, David (Rose) Kell of Van Buren County, TN; great-niece, Brittany Darnbush; great-nephew, Kell Darnbush; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in High's Chapel with Barry Nolan officiating. Interment will follow in Brick House Cemetery with military grave rites conducted by the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Visitation will be Monday, June 8, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High's. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America.
