Raymond Eugene King

Rock Island, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Raymond Eugene King, age 87, was born November 16, 1927 and died June 22, 2015 at his residence following a one-year illness. Retired from Cumberland Lumber Company and a member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late John R. and Martha Smartt King. He is survived by two sisters, Carrie Moore and Thelma King both of Rock Island, TN; two brothers, Angus Hugh King of the Dibrell Community and Johnny Douglas King of Rock Island, TN; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 in New Union Cemetery, Hwy. 30. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at High's.
