Darel Jay Puller

McMinnville, TN resident and Portland, OR native Darel Jay Puller, age 66, was born August 15, 1948 and died June 22, 2015 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN following an accident. He was the owner and operator of Kings Garden Nursery in McMinnville, a retired plumber and pipe fitter in North Pole, Alaska, a United States Army veteran of Vietnam, and a member of Friendship The Baptist Church. He was the son of the late James Elton and Lelia Irene Bates Puller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Cassandra Belinda Puller; and brother-in-law, Donald Keith. He was married March 22, 1980 to Belinda Nolan Puller of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and spouses, Michael and Gathy Puller of Fairbanks, Alaska, Wade Puller of Kasilof, Alaska, James "Tim" Puller of McMinnville, and Tamara Puller and fiance Jeremy Wilson of McMinnville; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Puller, and Larry and Vicki Puller all of Washington; two sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Keith of Washington, and Clare and Dave Marron of Montana; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Friendship The Baptist Church with Jason Brown and Paul Roberts officiating, and full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday at High's. Mr. Puller will be cremated following the service. Donations can be made to the Puller family in a benefit account for Darel J. Puller at Homeland Community Bank.
