McMinnville, TN resident and Huntsville, AL native Georgia Mae Jones, age 86, was born April 5, 1929 and died June 26, 2015 at Raintree Manor following a one-year illness. Retired from Genesco and a member of Smyrna Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George Mitchell and Hazel Owens Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Della & Eddie Bates; and step-mother, Katherine Douglas Hale. She was married December 24, 1949 to Paul Jones of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Anthony Tittsworth, Jimmie and Elton Knight, and Lisa and Jeff Hill all of McMinnville; four grandchildren and spouses, Becky Tittsworth, Kelli and Charlie Adams, and Aaron and Jessica Knight all of McMinnville, and Travis and Pepper Tittsworth of Prattville, AL; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor and Brad Ayers, Tristin Dawson, Trayton and Tanner Tittsworth, Hunter and Tyler Adams, and Andrew Knight; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam and Carolyn Hale of Atlanta, GA, Melvin Hale of Florida, and Jewell and Matilda Hale, Waymon and Melba Hale, and Glen and Pam Hale all of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Kathryn Akins of McMinnville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015 in High's Chapel with Ronnie Powell and Donald Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's. Memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels.
