Gary Lee Dodson

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Gary Lee Dodson, age 66, was born October 15, 1948 and died suddenly June 29, 2015 at his residence. The owner and operator of Gary & Gail's Pit Stop and a member of the Church of Christ, he was married to Nancy Gail Dodson who also passed away on June 29, 2015. He was the son of the late James Louie and Willie Mable Hobbs Dodson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-father, Ivory Rhea; son, Shane Allen Dodson; and brothers-in-law, George Drake and Tom Bates. He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Cooke and Amber Dodson both of McMinnville; son, Ethan Turner of McMinnville; son-in-law, Donnie Fults of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Brianna Cooke, Jocelyn Jones, Cody Cooke, Maci Fults and Chase Fults; two sisters, Yvonne Drake and Norma Bates both of McMinnville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Orvalene Dodson of Florida and Fred and Darlee Dodson of Whites Creek, TN; sister-in-law, Inez Short of Mt. Juliet, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 in High's Chapel with Dustin Drake and Jon Kent officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday at High's. Donations accepted for assistance with funeral expenses.
