Michael David Gaekle

Michael David Gaekle, age 60, a McMinnville, TN resident and St. Charles, IL native passed from this life on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Jeannette Nichols Gaekle. Mike was retired from the construction trade where he worked as an electrician, plumber and carpenter. He loved the outdoors but his true passion was his music. He was an accomplished guitarist and songwriter for over forty years. He is survived by his children Aimee Hooper and Jaimz Gaekle of St. Clair Shores, MI; special friend Jennifer Johnson; sisters Pamela Merriman and Mardi Nichols; nephews Charlie Merriman and Denise Hill and Eric Cunningham of McMinnville and niece Dawn Mills Brickey and family of Apple Valley, CA. The Rite of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine's Catholic Church Saturday, July 11, 2015 beginning with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father David Cooney officiating.
