Danny Ray "Mayor" Hobbs

Danny Ray "Mayor" Hobbs, a McMinnville, TN resident and Sequatchie County, TN native died July 8, 2015 at his residence following a short illness. He was a former employee of Magnetek, member of the Church of God and son of the late Bonner and Betty Sims Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs was married to Charleen Moore Hobbs who preceded him in death January 14, 2006. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Rayburn Hobbs. He is survived by children, Jenny Lynn Carter of McMinnville and Rebecca Shadrick of Spencer, TN; two grandchildren, Cierra Shadrick and Cason Shadrick; sister, Rita Guy of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Graveside service and interment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 in the Cordell Cemetery in Sequatchie County. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at High's. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service on Friday.
