Florence Marie Suntres

Florence Marie Suntres, age 90, a Melrose Park, IL resident and Beech Creek, WV native died July 16, 2015 at Seasons Hospice in Melrose Park, IL. She was a retired employee of Beatrice Foods, member of the Baptist Church and daughter of the late William Letcher and Melda Belle Steele Brown. She was married to Leroy Suntres who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by son, Ronnie Anderson; sister, Emma Blankenship and brothers, Wade Kennedy and Walter Kennedy. Mrs. Suntres is survived by three daughters, Marcy McBride of Morrison, TN, Peggy Anderson of Melrose Park, IL and Tammie (John) Hoeksema of Des Plaines, IL; five grandchildren, Travis (Angela) McBride, Chicago, IL, Tracy McBride, Morrison, TN, Tina (Michael) Peters, Sarasota FL, John Hoeksema, Kenosha, WI, Nicholas Hoeksema, Des Plaines, IL; three great-granddaughters, Linnea McBride and Elsa McBride, Chicago, IL and Olivia Peters, Sarasota, FL; one sister, Ruth Sloan of Kentucky. Several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive. Graveside service and interment will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Billy Campbell to officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at High's.
