Bernard Ken Smith

Bernard Ken Smith, age 75, a McMinnville, TN resident and native died July 17, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a prominent local attorney, U.S. Army veteran and son of the late Kenneth P. and Larnell Wilson Smith and was married to Debra Banks Smith who preceded him in death November 30, 2014. Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Debby Johnson, Bernard Trey Smith, and Natalie (Matthew) Roberts of McMinnville and Ashley (Gary) Cunningham of Ormand Beach, FL; grandchildren, Eli Smith, Jared Johnson, Alex Sellers, Cassandra Hill, Ben Johnson, Madison Grace Jones and Aubree Layne Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Halie Hill, Jolene Sellers and Ember Smith; sister, Nancy (Powell) Wallace of McMinnville. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 in High's Chapel with Tim Keller to officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. Military grave rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 5064 and American Legion 173. Visitation will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High's.
