Donna Sue Mayfield

McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Donna Sue Mayfield, age 55, was born April 4, 1960 and died August 3, 2015 at her residence following a sudden illness. A homemaker and a member of Armstrong Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Geneva Sanders Hobbs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clinton, Kenneth and Danny Hobbs; two sisters, Diane Hobbs and Joann Ware; and nephew, Jeremy Ware. She was married to Kendall Mayfield of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Grayson Mayfield of McMinnville; daughter, Leah Smartt of Grundy County, TN; three grandchildren, Kaylee and Kade Campbell, and Logan Furey; sister, Shirley Bumbalough of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Joyce Mayfield of McMinnville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Anthony and Anita Mayfield of McMinnville; and special friend, Reba Jones of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in High's Chapel with Jason Nunley officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at High's.
