Hermitage, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Maurine Green Rogers, age 94, was born September 22, 1920 and died August 22, 2015 at McKendree Village in Hermitage, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and long-time member of Viola Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John Freelin and Stella Webb Green. She was married October 13, 1940 to J. G. Rogers who preceded her in death on September 1, 1996. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Sarah Davis; four brothers, Aubrey, Loyd, Ewin and Hoyte Green; and three sisters, Mary Nadine Green, Mildred Smith and Virginia Meadows. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Patrick Alexander of Hermitage, TN and Linda and James Curtis of Mt. Juliet, TN; three granddaughters, Carmen Alexander Jenkins, Lisa Curtis, and Christy Curtis Davis and husband Tom; three great-grandsons, Adam Jenkins, and Justin and Ryan Davis; sister, Monice Green McGiboney of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 in High's Parlor with Steve Stubblefield to officiate. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County, TN. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Monday at High's.
