Myrl Timothy Smith

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Myrl Timothy Smith, age 56, was born September 4, 1958 and died August 23, 2015 at his residence following a lingering illness. A truck driver with Hillis Trucking Company and member of Pearls of Christ Church, he was the son of the late Myrl Thurman and Martha Nell Haney Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Myrldean Mounts; brother, Jerry Demetrious Smith and two nieces. Mr. Smith is survived by a son, Boone Dillon Smith of East, TN; two sisters and brother-in-law, Martha Jeannie (Verbile) Wanamaker and Anna Mariea Burton both of McMinnville; significant other, Mary Jane Prater of McMinnville; aunt, Gladys Clendenon of McMinnville; uncle, Wallace Smith of Marietta, GA; special cousin, Dwight Taylor and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Grange Hall Cemetery with Benny Benjamin to officate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at High's.
