McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Havern Wheeler, age 76, was born August 13, 1939 and died August 27, 2015 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. The owner of Oak Tree Furniture Shop, a master woodworker, and a member of the Non-Denominational Church Bridges of Hope, he was the son of the late Luther Hawkins and Austie Mae Fisher Wheeler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Patty F. Grissom; and two grandsons, Chad Nunley and Toby Harper. He was married April 28, 1957 to Paulette Taylor Wheeler of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Jamie Wheeler, Gail Wheeler, and Barbara and Bobby Wilson all of McMinnville; son, Tim Wheeler of McMinnville; thirteen grandchildren, Jason Brown, Tara Santucci, Rena Richardson, Camry Rogers, Triston Nunley, Justin Nunley, Andrew Grissom, Daniel Wilson, Alisha Carr, Matt Wilson, and Ethan Wilson all of McMinnville, Torie Dickens of Old Fort, TN, and Amanda Black of Madison, TN; and sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 in High's Chapel with Bobby Wilson and Don Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Walling Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's.
