Joann Davenport Dove

Walling, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Joann Davenport Dove, age 79, was born March 3, 1936 and died September 8, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness. Retired from Hibbett Sports and a member of Westwood Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Willie Elrod Davenport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Dawn Holden; and brother and sister-in-law, Sonny and Velma Davenport. She was married to Earl Dove of Walling, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, April Hicks of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Sara Hicks of Walling, TN, and Haleigh Hassell, Steve Hicks, Joshua Hicks, Brandi Greene and Zachary Greene all of McMinnville; five great-grandchildren, Kasin Hicks of Walling, TN, and Silver Evans, Ginny Hodges, Cole Wallace and Asher Wallace all of McMinnville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Joe Glenn, Mary Ann and W.M. Bishop, and Lucille and Don Hayes all of McMinnville; son-in-law, Ted Holden; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 in High's Chapel. Burial will follow in Old Bybee Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's.
