Veronica Jean Stewart

Veronica Jean Stewart, age 56, a Rock Island, TN resident and Detroit, MI native died September 16, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital following a brief illness. She was a teacher with the Warren County School System and owner of Veronica Stewart Nursery, the daughter of Derwood Stewart of McMinnville and the late Mary Magdalene Counts Stewart. In addition to her father she is survived by sister, Rhonda Stewart of McMinnville; two brothers, Brad Stewart and Chuck (Connie Bouldin) Stewart of McMinnville; niece, Maria (Justin) Lanier of McMinnville and nephew, Bradley Stewart of McMinnville and special friend, Lazaro Serna of McMinnville. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Central Church of Christ with Julian Goodpaster to officiate. Interment will follow in the Webb Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at High's. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
